Charlotte House of the Week: Luxury Home for Sale in Indian Trail, NC A Nearly 1-Acre Property Offering Privacy and Space
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2026 is off to an amazing start for you. It’s hard to believe we’re already 17 days into the new year—time truly flies. The real estate market is already showing signs of movement as interest rates have dipped, and buyers are paying attention.
Recently, I was reading news from back home in Central New York, and it reminded me just how much weather can shape our daily lives. In CNY, there’s often a stretch of 40+ days where the sun barely makes an appearance—just endless gray, overcast skies. As of now, they’re 17 days into the new year without a single sunny day, and the last time they saw the sun was in early December.
That contrast really hit home this week. While it was chilly in the morning, temperatures warmed up to a comfortable 52 degrees by the time we hopped in the car and headed to Indian Trail in Union County. The clouds burned off, the sun came out, and the area came alive. People were out walking the trails, neighbors were walking their dogs, and kids were riding their bikes. Weather truly makes a difference in how—and where—we live.
Back in Central New York, we used to joke that we wouldn’t see our neighbors until the snow finally melted… which could be late April or even May!
Driving through Indian Trail brought us to this week’s Charlotte House of the Week, and it’s a special one.
