For the past 10+ years, the Charlotte metro area has been booming. New neighborhoods are popping up, shopping centers are opening, restaurants are thriving, and businesses continue to grow. Roads are expanding, and every drive through the city seems to reveal something that wasn’t there before—it’s incredible to watch this growth firsthand.

The numbers are impressive: on average, 117–170 people move to the Charlotte area each day, including a growing percentage from other countries. My own grandparents were ahead of the trend—they moved to New Bern when they retired, many years before it became a popular choice for retirees.

Builders are paying attention. Around Charlotte, many neighborhoods are being designed specifically for age 55+ communities. These communities offer residents a chance to connect, socialize, and enjoy an active lifestyle—or simply relax. Amenities are tailored to suit every preference, from staying busy to enjoying quiet moments.

One example is a new neighborhood currently in development. While the amenities are still in the permitting phase, they promise an impressive array:

• Rosewood Clubhouse: Zero-entry pool, activity rooms, billiards and ping pong, arts & crafts, lounge and social corner
