Charlote House of the Week #114: 3510 Lacie Lane Charlotte NC
Charlotte House of the Week #114 3510 Lacie Lane Charlotte NC
This weeks house of the Week is on 3510 Lacie Lane in Charlotte. A picture is worth a thousand words-so what is a video worth? Over 100,000? In person you can take in all the details of a home and get a feel for everything. Having pictures and videos to go over later most definitely helps as well. For a house this size you easily need an hour to view the home to take your time and soak in this home. Sometimes when showing a house we do a quick zip through to get the lay of the land and see how the floor plan “flows”. Then we go back through again and each time we pick up more details and see something new. The longer your at a home the more you see. And since not all the photos can be posted in the MLS its safe to say you need to see something in person to catch it all. To see how it sits on the street and and take in the area around you. To walk around the exterior of the home the backyard and then step inside. Houses can be distracting so making sure you see everything is important. So seeing the exterior and the lot of the home is always a must.
This weeks is a more contemporary design and when I was younger anything that was considered contemporary to me was a modern bland style that I wanted nothing to do with. They were cold and ugly spaces with no personality. So fast forward to the Contemporary style that has been coming out in recent years and it has completely evolved into another level. And this house did show at another level. Everything was well thought out and designed and I throughly enjoyed exploring all this home had to offer. This weeks home is designed by the Architect Frusterio and is currently listed for 2.2 million by Tanya Jennings at KW Connected and was built by GC Design and Build. Stepping inside and through the front door takes you into another world. At first there was so much to take in it was overwhelming and while I usually drawn quickly to a space. Here there was a lot to take in from the moment I walked in the door. However I kept coming back to the center of the house where there was large Family room that is open to the 2nd story ceiling with beautiful wood trim that drew ones eye up to the impressive light fixture that hung down from above. This home is unique in this central space that is the centerpiece of the entire home. And from most parts of the home there was a different vantage point to view and appreciate this space. Standing in the center of the room looking up I couldn’t wait to go up stairs to enjoy the view from the railings above. With both hallways upstairs looking into the Chandelier/light fixture it kept the space open. What I found out later is each side took you to a single bedroom with its own private bathroom and large walk in closet. Instead of making them connect Jack in Jill style they kept them separate from each other. Where in the other side of the house closer to the stairway the floor plan had a bedroom to an upstairs bonus room and then yet another 4th bedroom.
Having a large open floor plan such as this one let in so much light from all the windows from both floors. Light poured into the home from the abundance of windows throughout the home. In addition there were light fixtures all thoroughly thought out and placed strategically through out. From the large expansive kitchen I could envision prepping a meal and entertaining family & friends at the same time from the long island that overlooks the family room. Plenty of space to entertain and enjoy. Being that I am the one that also does the dishes I really appreciated the space with the sink having three windows to view out from and each that had their own light fixture above. Lets also not forget off the kitchen there was a amazing walk in Pantry (which I have long been a fan of a good pantry) and a Scullery/Butlers Pantry with additional cabinets that went up to the ceiling with more than ample space to store anything you could possibly need. Off the 2 story family room to the left there was a extra wide privately hallway on both floors. On the first floor this private hallway took you from the garage, drop zone & laundry room, half bath and the large primary on main. However it also had an extra decorative design which contained two hidden compartments with shelving where you could hook up all your technology and hide the wires. Which was a well planned out and executed design. Topped off on each side of the fireplace there was shelving and more light fixtures which was nicely separated from the living space with this to this hallway buffer. Separating the private living quarters the rest of the house.
The large primary bedroom also had no shortage of windows over looking out to the extended back porch. Along with a large primary bathroom with two sinks on one side and a large white soaking tub on the other side. With a tucked in powder room on one side and a generous walk in shower and a large walk in closet on the other. Each part spacious and organized but efficient. Going back out to the main living space at the back of the home there is a long extended bifold door that opens up to an expansive porch. And no home here in the south is complete without one. As they just adds to livable and usable space. We have the links of some of the Video we took of this home that is uploaded on Instagram and Tik Tok as well. And a longer video which showcases the home more completely is up on Youtube. Now we just have to figure out how to go about displaying all the pictures we took of the home. As the videos we took ended up with over 45 minutes of video we took and sifted through. I’m sure there will be more to come as we continue on our venture to showcase a Charlotte Home of the week, showcasing the architecture and design in our beautiful Charlotte.
